Privacy Policy
Plain and simple: what we collect, why, and what we’ll never do with it.
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Freesourcely respects your privacy and collects as little as reasonably possible. This explains what we gather, why, and the choices you have.
- Information you give us. If you use our contact form or sign up for updates, we collect what you provide — such as your name, email, and message.
- Analytics & usage data. We use Google Analytics (through Google’s Site Kit) to understand how people use the site — like which pages are popular. This sets cookies and collects data such as your approximate location (from your IP address), device and browser type, and the pages you view.
- Email subscriptions. If you sign up for updates, we manage your email address through MailerLite, our email provider. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email.
- When you use Sorcery AI. The questions you type into Sorcery AI are sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Please don’t enter sensitive personal details — like Social Security or financial account numbers — into Sorcery.
- Security & technical data. To keep the site safe and running, our hosting and security tools (such as Wordfence) automatically record standard information like your IP address, browser type, and activity.
- Cookies. Our site and the tools that run it use cookies — some essential for the site to work, and some (like analytics) to understand usage.
- To respond to your messages — and, if you opt in, to send you updates.
- To understand and improve how the site is used.
- To operate, secure, and maintain the site.
- We don’t sell or rent your personal information. Ever.
- We only email people who asked for it — and you can unsubscribe anytime.
- We don’t require an account to browse the site.
We rely on a few trusted providers to run the site — including our web host, our analytics (Google), our email tool (MailerLite), and the AI provider that powers Sorcery (Anthropic). Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We also link out to government, nonprofit, and other organizations; once you click through, you’re on their site under their privacy policy, not ours.
Freesourcely is an independent project, but circumstances can change. If the site is ever sold, merged, or transferred to new owners, your information may transfer to them as part of that change. If that happens, the new owner will be bound by the promises in this Privacy Policy — or will notify you and ask for your agreement before changing them. We will never use a sale or transfer as a backdoor to do something with your data that this policy doesn’t already allow.
- You can limit analytics cookies through your browser settings or Google’s opt-out tools.
- You can unsubscribe from emails at any time.
- You can ask what information we hold about you, or request deletion, through our contact form.
Freesourcely is intended for adults 18 and older. This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at hello@freesourcely.com and we will delete it.
As the site grows, we may update this policy. When we do, we’ll post the new version here with a fresh “last updated” date.
